I am a current student at Napa Valley College in the Digital Design & Graphics Technology program.
I am a returning student, in 2003 I graduated from Napa Valley College with AS Degrees in Electronics, RF communications (CATV) and Telecommunications (Broadcast Video Engineering). Since 2003 I have been working in the Broadcast Integration field. My main responsibility was implementing new or upgrading broadcast stations to the new ATSC (HD) broadcast standard. I worked closely with other engineers and facility personal to complete these designs and installations. I worked on many different projects, ranging from very small (low power) local stations to extremely complex systems for the National Association of Broadcasters and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

The FCC mandated that the old analog transmission standard be decommissioned and transitioned to the new Digital transmission by the end of February 2009. The last two years I was working on the Verizon FIOS network.  Upon meeting my deadlines, and being laid off, I decided to return to school to get retrained to take my years of working with AutoCAD in a new direction.
